Birmingham, UK (9/26-10/8/2015)
16 foot geodesic sculpture, animation, & projection mapping project commissioned as a public art installation by Bullring Birmingham coinciding with the Birmingham Weekender City Center Art Festival, Rugby World Cup, and launch of their Grand Central train station. The piece was viewed by an estimated 2.2 million visitors with the projected presentations were playing 3 hours nightly for 2 weeks. Birmingham has a reputation for choosing their own titles for their public art (i.e. the “Floozie in the Jacuzzi” in Victoria Square) & in true Brummie fashion, the piece was affectionately nicknamed the “Disco Bull” (see #DiscoBullHead). Recipient of 2016 BCSC Purple Apple Award.
